Tracking Insurance Claims

ShrinkRapt 2019 simplifies insurance tracking, making it easy to see when you were paid, how much you were paid and what has not been paid. Below are some  tips to help keep track of paid and unpaid insurance claims.

Viewing Visits Submitted For Insurance Payment

When you print or submit claims electronically, ShrinkRapt date stamps the visit record with the date the claim was submitted.  Visits that have not been submitted to insurance will display with a blank in the Claim Date column.

Ins Track Visits - Insurance Button

To view a list of visits that have been submitted to an insurance company for payment, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Insurance icon at the bottom of the list as shown above.  The list of visits will change from “all visits” to a list of visits that have been submitted to an insurance company.  The list will also change so the Claim Date, Paid Date and Amt Paid columns are displayed.  The list is sorted so the most current visit date is displayed at the top.
  2. To change the list to display visits that have been submitted to insurance but not paid, click the Waiting button as shown below.

To limit the list to just one patient, click on a name in the Patient list.

Tip: To quickly locate a patient name in a long list, first click on the patient name in the visit list.  When you click on the name, the patient’s name will automatically be entered in the search area for the patient list.

Insurance Tracks - Name Search

When you click on the name in the search area, the patient list will change to display only the patient’s name.   When you click on the patient name, the visit list will change to display visits for that patient as shown below.
